Airship Enterprises, Inc. (ASE) was incorporated in May 2009 to design, build and operate heavy-lift airships to transport cargo worldwide into areas not readily accessible to existing transportation systems. ASE is positioning itself to take the concept of heavy lift airships from its infancy to establishment as the dominant cargo transportation mode to isolated locations worldwide. ASE estimates this market alone will need over 500 airships. In addition to air cargo transportation, there are applications in areas such as: humanitarian and disaster relief missions, passenger transportation, military heavy-lift and surveillance, and other uses limited only by the imagination.
ASE's management team consists of retired Boeing program managers with decades of experience in large aerospace programs, aeronautical engineers with airship and large aircraft experience, specialist engineering companies, and operational staff with extensive airship experience. This experienced team has spent the last 2 years studying the market potential for this paradigm shift in cargo transportation, validating their vision, developing the airship's design and refining their business model. The team is now prepared to implement their vision.
